What You’ll Learn In Demetrio Rosario – Solo Bachata, Pre-Partnerwork Essentials Course 2024?
The Solo Bachata Pre-Partnerwork Essentials Course
SECTION 1: Learn Your Basic Bachata Steps
In this section, you will learn how to do all of the most important steps in Bachata. These are what we refer to as your “basic steps.” You will learn all of the important details and we will teach them nice and slow so that you’re never left feeling overwhelmed. After you’ve learned the basic steps we will put them together into a sequence that we will call the “warm up.” This is so you can practice these steps every day to truly master these steps and “warm up” your body for future classes.
SECTION 2: Warmup Challenge Combinations
In this section, we will take the individual steps you learned in the previous section and we will create a fun sequence for you. In dance, this is called a “combination.”
They will challenge you to master the basics steps in a really fun way! We’ve provided you 5 short combinations that we think will help you gain confidence, have fun, and make practicing your basic steps way more fun than plain old repetition.
Section 3: Bachata Body
Isolations & Movement
In this section, you will learn body isolations and movement. This is one of the most important sections because great body movement is what makes Bachata look so sexy. We’re going to break it down slowly and give you lots of repetition. Isolations are learning to move one part of your body (example: moving one shoulder/one body part) and movement is learning how to move multiple parts together. (example: a body roll-incorporates many body parts)
Section 4: Arm Movement
In Bachata
In this section you’ll learn how to properly move your arms when you are dancing. This is something almost nobody teaches (sadly) but it is critical in making your Bachata steps look as natural as possible. Most beginner students either don’t move their arms at all, and therefore look super stiff and awkward. Or they move their arms way too much and look like they do not have an understanding of how the arms move in relation to their body. You will learn in a step by step series of classes and drills with us.
Section 5: Basic Bachata Steps Revisited (SBAMethod)
In this section, we will teach you our unique and method of teaching our students how to do steps, body movement and arm movement together. We will not only explain this method here but we will also apply this method to all of the basic steps you’ve already learned. That way you’ll master your body movement and arm movement without getting overwhelmed. This method is only taught in our online courses, so you’re getting special access!
Section 6: Must Know Beginner Steps Part 1
In this section, you’re going to learn how to do even more fun steps that you can do solo. These will add more spice and style to your dancing. We will also explain how to do arm movement and body movement to each of these new steps. You’ll learn rotating basic, the lateral basic, the bass step and more! There will also be a lesson on syncopated steps so that you know what they are & how to do them. You’ll also get a musicality lesson to help you dive deeper into connecting your steps to the music!
Section 7: Must Know Beginner Steps Part 2
In this section We’re going to help you train your feet, arms and body even more with a few more challenging footwork steps. I will be breaking these steps down and then creating short combinations to practice the step in a more practical way. The steps you’ll learn here are by far my favorite steps to add into my dancing but also the steps my students find to be the most challenging, so buckle up! It will be fun but also challenging! These steps should start helping you speed up your footwork!
Section 8: Improving Beginner Turns
In this section we’ll go over 4 of your most common Bachata turns that you can do without a partner. But of course these are super important to master because they are also done frequently in partnerwork. Turns are everyones favorite steps to learn but they also can be tricky. These lessons will help you with coordination, balance, and giving that added spice to your dancing that you didn’t even know you needed!
Section 9: Improving Beginner Challenge Combinations
In this section, you’ll learn 10 full length footwork combinations! This is the section you’ve been building up to. Every step you’ve learned will be in this section and its time to put it all together in fun, dynamic and playful footwork combinations that will make practicing fun. At this point it probably won’t even feel like practice, it will just feel like you’re dancing and having fun! By the end of this section you’ll feel confident, sexy and ready to head to an in person class to show off your moves!
